| Sticking together in need. That´s what it is all about for this Blues-Duo. For whatever reason, they lost all material wealth they had and decided to do what they always wanted to do. This sounds like a fairy tale but that´s the story behind Lance and Donna and the reason why they´re living a Troubadour-Life, which they appreciate and love very much. Starting in the US, they traveled to a lot countries, often not knowing where they would sleep that night. "If you do the thing that you love, it will take care of you.", that´s what they are saying and doing. The highs are high and luck seems to be with their new CD, which is available in Europe these days. This CD shows their love of Blues-Classics and is a remarkable recording. Lance is doing all guitar parts and singing, Donna is supporting him with a "rainstick", adding percussion to the songs. Nothing new, everything heard one thousand times before. But both interpret these songs remarkably well . So, I can imagine hearing them in a small pub on a beautiful evening. Its not very often that you meet some people who are playing and living the blues, and show an absolute honest performance of their loveliest blues songs. Conclusion: Not a very exciting CD... but a very good one. A good souvenir for the fans, that got the chance to see Lance and Donna on the road. (mt) |
