On the road project

Sur la route depuis plus de 6 ans, infatigables voyageurs du blues, Lance & Donna portent inlassablement la bonne parole de la musique bleue dans toute l’Europe, avec un attachement particulier envers notre pays. <<Nous sommes en Europe depuis 1994. Je viens de Nashville et Donna de Chicago. Il y a une dizaine d’années, nous avons tout perdu dans un incendie aux USA. Nous avons alors rassemblé nos économies pour prendre un vol vers Bruxelles. Depuis, nous sillonnons l’Europe à bord de notre mobile-home et vivons ainsi, au gre´des concerts et des rencontres. C’est un choix musical et humain parfois difficile à vivre, mais que nous assumons tolalement. Avec les technologies d’aujourd’hui, GSM, e-mail et ordinateur portable, on peut être totalement nomade sans pour autant être coupé du monde. Coté guitares, je joue principalement sur une Fine Resophonic réalisée sur mesure par Mike Lewis. C’est un instrument extraordinaire, long neck, équipé d’un micro Highlander. J’ai également un vieux Lapsteel Gibson des années 30, acheté 50 dollars à Nashville! Pour l’amplification, je me branche sur un Tech 21, très bonne évolution du SansAmp. Nos projets? Continuer ainsi! Nour enregistrons nos concerts, en Direct-to Disk via un PowerBook Mac, pour sortir un album live. La route et la musique nous rendent profondément heureux, et nous essayons modestement de faire partager ce bonheur.>> Si votre chemin croise le leur, arrêtez-vous un instant. (Olivier Rouquier)

On the road project

On the road for more than 6 years, tireless blues travelers, Lance and Donna preach the good word of the blues everywhere in Europe and are particularly fond of France. "We have been in Europe since 1994. I’m from Nashville and Donna’s from Chicago. About ten years ago, we lost all we had in a fire in the USA. With our remaining money, we flew to Brussels. Since then we have been travelling by mobile home, it’s our way of life, from one concert to another and visiting friends along the way. It’s a musical and way-of-life choice; sometimes a bit difficult but it’s our choice. Modern technologies, GSM, e-mail and Laptop give the possibilities to anyone to be a nomad without being cut off from the world. As for my instruments, most of the time I play on a Fine Resophonic guitar created especially for me by Mike Lewis. I also have an old Gibson Labsteel from the 30’s, bought for 50 dollars in Nashville! My amplification is a Tech 21, a very good evolution on the SansAmp. Our projects? Keep going this way! We record our concerts; direct to disk via our PowerBook Mac, to make a live album CD. On the road with music, we’re extremely happy and our job is to share this happiness." If you should cross their path, then, stop for a while.
